Playwright Maggie Rose has been working for several years in film and television at Warner Bros, Punch Productions, and on CBS’s The Good Wife. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA, a mentor with the Young Storytellers Foundation, and recently wrapped on the third season of the Starz series Power.
A Los Angeles native, Maggie graduated UCLA with a BA in Playwriting and a minor in Political Science and was the Class of 2012 Valedictorian. She is the recipient of the George Burns and Gracie Allen Scholarship and Fellowship in Comedy for her adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE and received the George Savage Award in Playwriting for her full length play ADMISSIONS commissioned by Carol Block as part of the Marianne Murphy Women in Philanthropy Playwriting Award at UCLA Chancellor Gene Block’s Residence. Her ten-minute play CASEY & ADAM was the People’s Choice Finalist in the 2014 Short+Sweet Theatre Festival in Sydney Australia and was a finalist in the 2015 New York New Works Theatre Festival in NYC, she is very excited to be returning the NYNW Festival this year.
