Name: Maria Deasy
What is your current project? Mine
Where are you performing your show and why is it a good fit for your production?
Broadway Bound Festival – Putting the power of producing in the hands of the playwright allows me to fulfill my vision with an eye on the play’s future.
What’s next for you?
I’m also an actress so I will be performing in a reading at the American Irish Historical Society on June 15th and at the Irish American Writers and Artists Salon at the Cell Theatre on June 20th. As an actress, I love being a part of developing new work. Freedom to play — and also to support my fellow writers.
What is the name of the last show you saw?
Oslo
Any advice for your peers?
Dive in. Don’t wait. And don’t worry about what others think of you (to the extent humanly personal). Also — ask for help. These are all things I am still learning!
