Meet Mark Adrian Ford & Keys (Broadway Bound Theatre Festival)

Name: Mark Adrian Ford

What is your current project?

My new play “KEYS” goes up at the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival this summer 2017! Directed by Alison Preece

Where are you performing your show and why is it a good fit for your production?

Performances of KEYS are taking place at the 14th Street Y Theatre in NYC. The simple space, large stage, 130 tiered seats and marquis create an ideal canvas for our play. The location is fantastic too! (344 E 14th St, New York, NY)

What’s next for you?

After the Broadway Bound Festival I’ll be visiting my big sister in Alberta. She’s having her first baby!

What is the name of the last show you saw?

I recently saw my friend perform in The Book of Mormon. I hadn’t seen it before and it changed my life forever.

Any advice for your peers?

Deep breaths. Don’t procrastinate in any area of production. Enjoy the hard work as well as the easy fun. Get to know your teammates and always be respectful.

NY New Works Theatre Festival: Meet Mark Adrian Ford & Toothpicks VII: Khazouk

Name: Mark Adrian Ford

What is your current project?

Toothpicks VII: Khazouk

Where are you performing it and why is it the right fit for your piece?

The Elektra Theatre as part of the New York New Works Theatre Festival. It’s a beautiful space in a vivacious Midtown location.

What’s next for you?

I’ve finished writing a series of limerick fables for my Nephew, which I am hoping to have illustrated and published before the year’s end. My second full-length stage play “Moulten Isle” is currently being reviewed by my mentors for potential production. I’ll also be acting in a tribute film directed by my friend Rachael Silberman in North Carolina later this summer.

Who is your biggest inspiration right at this moment and why?

My Gran, Gloria. She’s a legend and always puts things into the most brilliant perspective for me. I feel peaceful and motivated by her whenever I see her or hear her speak.
